The Kaduna State Chairman of the Labour Party, Mallam Lawal Garba has passed away.<\/p>\n
WITHIN NIGERIA gathered that Garba died in a fatal road car crash along the Kaduna-Zaria road on his way back home from the party\u2019s engagement with Northern stakeholders in Arewa House, Kaduna, on Monday.<\/p>\n
Peter Obi<\/a>, presidential flag-bearer of the Labour Party was in Kaduna State to address stakeholders at the Arewa House.<\/p>\n In a statement on Tuesday morning signed by Dr. Yunusa Tanko, the Chief Spokesperson of the Labour Party Presidential Campaign, Obi said he was saddened by the news of the sudden death of Mallam Garba.<\/p>\n Obi was quoted as describing the news of the party chieftain\u2019s death, \u201cjust an hour after he left us\u201d as devastating and shocking .<\/p>\n \u201cHe was a great party leader, a great guide and adviser to the Labour Party in the planning and prosecution of the Presidential Campaigns<\/p>\n \u201cMy heart goes to the family, the teeming Labour Party members, the Obidients family, the entire people of Tudun Wada and the Kaduna State in general,\u201d the presidential hopeful said.<\/p>\n I'm shocked by the news of the sudden and tragic death of Mallam Lawal Garba last night in a fatal vehicular accident.
