Former Jigawa State governor, Sule Lamido, has said he was called a pastor in the North for supporting former President Goodluck Jonathan.<\/p>\n

Lamido stated this during an interview on ARISE TV.<\/p>\n

However, it is unclear when the interview, which is currently trending on social media was granted.<\/p>\n

He accused Jonathan of abandoning the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which made him who he is today.<\/p>\n

The former governor said, \u201cI feel sad for Jonathan<\/a>. I feel very very bad for him. This is somebody who ten years ago, was not known in Nigeria. A former director then deputy governor, and then a governor, then vice president, then Nigeria\u2019s president.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at his rise \u2013 it was all through PDP. PDP gave him everything in life. It gave him the biggest reward anybody in PDP can attain. I mean, how many of them (in PDP) became Nigeria\u2019s presidents? Only three of them: Obasanjo, Yaradua and himself.<\/p>\n

\u201cIs he being fair to PDP? The very party which made him whatever he thinks he\u2019s, the limelight, the international role he\u2019s playing, was PDP\u2019s creation. It was PDP\u2019s facilitation. I feel sad.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lamido<\/a> further stated that he had been called a pastor and was seen as a pariah in the North for standing with Jonathan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was called a pastor in the North because of Jonathan. I stood by him through thick and thin. In the North, I was seen as somebody who\u2019s a pariah, who\u2019s against the northern interests \u2013 because I believe in Nigeria.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor Jonathan to now begin to contemplate, even in the PDP, to vie for presidency make me pity him a lot. I really pity him,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
