Some supporters of Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate Peter Obi, known as Obidients, have criticized Edo state governor Godwin Obaseki for making a remark about them.<\/p>\n

According to the Obidients, Obaseki was incorrect when he stated that their movement will run out of steam in its efforts to ensure Obi’s election as president in 2023.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA, it is understood that Obidients<\/a> took to Twitter after Obaseki made the remark about them running out of steam.<\/p>\n

Obaseki, who passed the comment at the inauguration of the Edo state Peoples Democratic Party\u2019s (PDP) campaign council in the state yesterday said;<\/p>\n

People who say they are Obidients, of course, they will be but they will run out of steam. We know how to manage elections, how many people have been able to do what we are doing? They can\u2019t even form their campaign council not to talk about having a timetable for election, you get it.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Obidients, on the other hand, did not take the remark lightly, as Twitter was buzzing with reactions from Obi supporters, who are said to be an online movement.<\/p>\n

One of the Obidients with @TheCuriousMind1 said<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cout of steam with just three months to the election? As long as there\u2019s hunger, poverty and insecurity, my brother Obaseki, steam will be increasing even more. So think well.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Another user @Princes51013171 said that<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cit\u2019s like this man has been lashed for having stylishly supported Obidient in the past? But regardless, our labour will never be in vain. It\u2019s you, the entire PDP and APC that your efforts will be in vain. Obi shall triumph and be declared a winner come 2023 God willing!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Another supporter @EmekaKa36263450, said<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cthey thought we are tired. If only they know how prepared we are. People are busy doing underground work for PO. From December, you are going to see men spring out from all angles to the needful. PO is coming\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Another Obidient @Albazzini, added that<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cGov Obaseki knows that his household would vote for Peter Obi. His cabinet and Edolites are Obidient. He should stop deceiving Atiku. 2023 is around the corner and no amount of running down would stop the movement.
