Numerous terrorists were killed in Bama Local Government Area in Borno State as a result of an intelligence-driven aerial and ground coordinated action initiated by the Nigerian Army that was aimed at disrupting the strategic human and material capability of the Boko Haram group.<\/p>\n

According to reports, the strike on Friday, October 28, along the axis of Darajamal and Mayenti resulted in a devastating loss of foot soldiers for the Jama’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihd Boko Haram.<\/a><\/p>\n

The bombing was carried out on Friday following solid intelligence inputs indicating a significant presence of the militants in the region, according to Zagazola Makama, a Counter Insurgency Expert and Security Analyst in Lake Chad.<\/p>\n

The terrorists<\/a>, according to checks by Zagazola were hibernating in some hideouts around the axis of Bula Ngufdoye, Ngori, kote and Tangalanga, Kulo Gomna, Bulamarwaye, Garje, Wuta and Mordo villages in the Cameroonian border town.<\/p>\n

\u201cBombs from the detailed attack Super Tukano Aircraft scored accurate hits on three targets leading to the obliteration scores of the terrorists and some of their equipment including Hilux trucks.<\/p>\n

He said the terrorists, who attempted to flee the location, were also mopped up in follow-up attacks by the jets.<\/p>\n

The operation was conducted pursuant to credible intelligence reports indicating that the settlement was one of the locations being used by the fighters as a staging area from where they attack troops\u2019 positions and other soft targets in the Banki general area.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
