At least two persons were killed on Sunday after suspected miliatia attacked NTV community in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State <\/p>\n
It was gathered that the incident, which happened on Sunday night, spurred outrage in the community om Monday. <\/p>\n
The residents of the community who were angered by the killings blocked the Bokkos -Barki Ladi road on Monday in protest, calling on the government to halt the activities of the gunmen in their locality.<\/p>\n
The development was said to have caused gridlock on the busy highway while motorists were stranded on the road for hours.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cI was on my way this morning (Monday ) to my place of work at the Plateau state University , Bokkos.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we got to the NTV village,we discovered that the road was blocked by protesters with many of the people shouting and crying.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we enquired what the problem was, they told us that some gunmen who they believe were Fulani attacked their community last night(Sunday) and killed two persons.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd because of that, the villagers came out and blocked the Bokkos -Barkin Ladi road which caused motorists and other road users to be stranded for hours due to the blockage.\u201d Punch quoted a a worker at the Plateau state University, Bokkos, to have said. <\/p>\n
