The leader of the Yoruba Socio- Political Group, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, has insisted that he remained the leader of the group, and has endorsed the All Progressive Congress Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, for the 2023 election.<\/p>\n

Fasoranti, who stated this in a viral video, added that the the organisation never endorsed the candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that\u00a0Tinubu received the blessing of Pa Fasoranti ahead of the 2023 elections<\/a>\u00a0at the country home of the Afenifere leader in Akure, Ondo State capital.<\/p>\n

Tinubu presented his 80-page manifesto to the nonagenarian with other prominent Yoruba leaders in attendance.<\/p>\n

Fasoranti declared that \u201cI am still the leader of Afenifere. Afenifere<\/a> has not endorsed Obi, we are endorsing Jagaban (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) for the presidency.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs you can see, the trend, the approval and the acceptability. You could see what happened when Tinubu came to meet me in Akure. Media carried the whole thing.<\/p>\n

\u201cAdebanjo does not have the capacity to warn me not to welcome Tinubu. Can he do that successfully?<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat happened was that Adebanjo took a stand and I took a stand. I didn\u2019t call him and he didn\u2019t call me. We never spoke about the visit.<\/p>\n
