{"id":227735,"date":"2022-11-08T17:52:40","date_gmt":"2022-11-08T16:52:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=227735"},"modified":"2022-11-08T17:52:40","modified_gmt":"2022-11-08T16:52:40","slug":"npc-will-be-transparent-in-ad-hoc-staff-recruitment-official","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/11\/08\/npc-will-be-transparent-in-ad-hoc-staff-recruitment-official\/","title":{"rendered":"NPC will be transparent in ad-hoc staff recruitment \u2013 Official"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The National Population Commission (NPC) has pledged to be transparent in the recruitment of adhoc staff for the conduct of the 2023 housing and population census.<\/p>\n<p>The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that NPC officially launched its e-recruitment portal to recruit adhoc staff for the exercise last week.<\/p>\n<p>Dr Abdulmalik Duruguwa, the national commissioner in charge of Kaduna state, made this known while speaking with newsmen in Kafanchan, Jema\u2019a Local Government Area.<\/p>\n<p>Duruguwa said that the application for recruitment was open to all Nigerians including people living with disabilities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs far as we are concerned, we are giving every Nigerian the opportunity to take part in this important national assignment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe welcome applications from all Nigerians including civil servants and physically challenged persons.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere will be no favouritism. If you apply online and you are qualified, you are qualified. You don\u2019t have to know anybody,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The national commissioner enjoined interested applicants to apply in areas where they are resident and would be deployed accordingly.<\/p>\n<p>He restated the commission\u2019s resolve to conduct a full digital population census that would be acceptable by all.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSince the last <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/11\/07\/outcome-of-2023-census-will-rewrite-nigerias-history-npc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">census<\/a> in 2006 there have been a lot of demographic changes in the country.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, we have concluded arrangements to conduct a reliable and acceptable census that every Nigerian will be proud of,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>He solicited the support and cooperation of Nigerians, noting that census was key to national planning and development.<\/p>\n<p>On the issue of security, Duruguwa explained that proper arrangements were being put in place to guarantee the safety of all adhoc staff recruited for exercise.<\/p>\n<p>NAN reports that the population and housing census is scheduled for April 2023.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Population Commission (NPC) has pledged to be transparent in the recruitment of adhoc staff for the conduct of the 2023 housing and population census.
