Graham Potter, manager of Chelsea, has been warned by former Tottenham Hotspur manager Tim Sherwood that he will be fighting for his job if the Blues’ slump persists.<\/p>\n

Sherwood added that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, a summer signing, is being made to look ‘terrible’ by Chelsea.<\/p>\n

Chelsea’s first few months at Stamford Bridge were promising, but now Potter’s reign at the west London club is in a bind after the club managed just two points in their last four games.<\/p>\n

Potter\u2019s men lost 4-1 to Brighton at the end of last month and also failed to bounce back on Sunday as they lost 1-0 to Premier League leaders Arsenal at home.<\/p>\n

As a result of their latest results, Chelsea have now slipped five points outside the top-four positions and 13 points behind Arsenal on the log.<\/p>\n

However, Sherwood believes Potter will be under immense pressure at Chelsea if they lose to Newcastle United next weekend in their final match before the mid-season break for the 2022 FIFA World Cup<\/a> in Qatar.<\/p>\n

Speaking on The Kelly and Wrighty Show, Sherwood said: \u201cYou can\u2019t argue they have not got the strike force. Chelsea are making two prolific goalscorers in the Premier League, Aubameyang and Lukaku, look terrible.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need to look at themselves. I know it\u2019s two different mangers, it\u2019s not all Potter\u2019s fault, it\u2019s Tuchel\u2019s as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut that control of the game is quite boring. I like control of the game and playing progressively forward, but they are not passing it forward quickly enough.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s very difficult to get continuity when Graham Potter keeps making so many changes. You are not at Brighton anymore, you can\u2019t experiment, you have not got time to do that.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you lose one more game, everyone will be looking at him. They are not playing well and we don\u2019t know his best side.<\/p>\n

\u201cEveryone is in different positions<\/a>, so they need some continuity and a way of playing. He\u2019s trying to keep everyone happy, but at this rate he will be sacked and they will get a new manager in.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe needs to start leaving big players out and that is what being a manager of a big club is about. I think he is trying to keep everyone happy, but they are not picking up enough points.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
