The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Twitter, Elon Musk, has told staff of the microblogging and social networking service that they must commit to working \u201clong hours at high intensity\u201d or leave the company.<\/p>\n

Musk reportedly told his workers on Wednesday in an email that they should pledge if they wanted to stay.<\/p>\n

According to Washington Post, those who do not sign up by Thursday (today) will be given three months\u2019 compensation pay.<\/p>\n

The America\u2019s richest billionaire said that Twitter<\/a> \u201cwill need to be extremely hardcore\u201d in order to succeed.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis will mean working long hours at high intensity. Only exceptional performance will constitute a passing grade,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

In the email entitled, \u2018A Fork in the Road\u2019, Musk<\/a> said, \u201cThose who choose to stay should expect long, intense hours of work. Those who leave will receive three months\u2019 severance pay.\u201d<\/p>\n

Workers were told that they needed to click on a link by 17:00 EST on Thursday if they want to be \u201cpart of the new Twitter\u201d.<\/p>\n

He added, \u201cWhatever decision you make, thank you for your efforts to make Twitter successful.\u201d<\/p>\n
