{"id":231750,"date":"2022-11-29T14:19:27","date_gmt":"2022-11-29T13:19:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=231750"},"modified":"2022-11-29T14:19:27","modified_gmt":"2022-11-29T13:19:27","slug":"enugu-native-doctor-shoots-client-to-death-while-testing-bullet-repelling-charms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/11\/29\/enugu-native-doctor-shoots-client-to-death-while-testing-bullet-repelling-charms\/","title":{"rendered":"Enugu: Native doctor shoots client to death while testing bullet-repelling charms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A native doctor, Odoh Emmanuel, has been arrested by the police for shooting and killing his client, Onunze Benedict, in Enugu State while attempting to test the bullet-repelling charms he had allegedly prepared for him .<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened in Umuaram Village in Ikem community of Isi-Uzo Local Government Area of in Enugu State.<\/p>\n<p>The victim, who hailed from Eha-Amufu, was said to had approached the 23-year-old native doctor to prepare the charm for him and Odoh decided to test the potency of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/10\/03\/kwara-man-kills-12-year-old-brother-while-testing-bulletproof-charm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">charm<\/a> on his client, who died instantly after receiving the gunshots.<\/p>\n<p>The State Police spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, who confirmed the incident said: \u201cOn 16\/11\/2022 around 11pm, Police Operatives serving in Isi-Uzo Police Division of the Command, arrested Odoh Emmanuel (male and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/11\/27\/native-doctor-slits-lovers-throat-in-anambra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">native doctor<\/a>) aged 23, of Umuaram Village in Ikem community of Isi-Uzo LGA, for shooting and murdering his adult male client, one Onunze Benedict, of Eha-Amufu community in the same LGA.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPreliminary investigation reveals that the suspect confessed to having used a locally-fabricated single-barreled gun to shoot and murder the said victim in his shrine at the mentioned location while testing the gunshot protection charm he had prepared for him.
