Bandits have killed kogo Hamza, the district head of Yankuzo in Tsafe Local Government Area of Zamfara State.<\/p>\n

Hamza was shot severally by bandits along Tsafe Yankuzo Road and was rushed to the Federal medical Centre, Gusau, where he died Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Yankuzo is the hometown of the dreaded bandits\u2019 leader, Ado Aliero, who was declared wanted by the military.<\/p>\n

According to The PUNCH, an indigene of the area, Audu Mohammed, said that the district head<\/a> was attacked by bandits along Tsafe Yankuzo road on Saturday while he was returning to his domain after a meeting with the Emir of Tsafe.<\/p>\n

Mohammed said, \u201cThe bandits<\/a> had wanted to abduct him but he refused to stop.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey chased him and opened fire at his car where he sustained six gunshot injuries.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was rushed to Tsafe General hospital and later transfered to the Federal Medical Centre Gusau where he finally died on Saturday night.\u201d<\/p>\n

The state police spokesperson, SP Mohammed Shehu, could not be reached on phone to comment on the incident as at the time of filling this report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
