The police command in Oyo has apprehended nine suspects in connection with the murder of Hakeem Mudashiru, a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) grassroots mobiliser in Oyo town<\/p>\n
Mudashiru was allegedly hacked to death in his father\u2019s house on Wednesday by suspected rival political thugs.<\/p>\n
The police spokesman in the state, Adewale Osifeso, confirmed the arrest of the suspects on Thursday in Ibadan.<\/p>\n
Osifeso said the suspects included a female, NAN reports. <\/p>\n
According to the cop, the State Criminal Investigation Department is handling the case.<\/p>\n
Osifeso disclosed that preliminary investigation revealed that the deceased was attacked by suspected hoodlums Mudashiru had a heated argument with.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was an unfortunate case of random violence that led to the death of one Hakeem Mudashiru, 40 years, as reported by his father, one Jimoh Agala, at Durbar Divisional Police Headquarters, Oyo state on Wednesday at about 1:35 p.m.,\u201d the police officer explained.<\/p>\n
