Vicent Aboubakar’s contract has been terminated by Al Nassr in order to make room for new addition Cristiano Ronaldo.<\/p>\n

After weeks of speculation, it was confirmed last week that Ronaldo had signed for Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr after his second stint with Manchester United ended bitterly.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Ronaldo was given a huge welcome<\/a> by his new club and fans as the five-time Ballon d\u2019Or winner was officially unveiled by Al Nassr.<\/p>\n

Since Ronaldo was given a two-match suspension by the FA while playing for United, he will have to wait a little longer to make his debut.<\/p>\n

In addition, Al Nassr needed to clear up a space in their squad as they have reached the full capacity for foreign players.<\/p>\n

In order to sign Ronaldo, the club has reportedly decided to part ways with Cameroon striker Aboubakar, reports Saudi Arabian news outlet Al Riyadh.<\/p>\n

During his name with Al Nassr, Aboubakar scored 13 goals and has six assists to his name.<\/p>\n

Aboubakar also impressed during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, scoring the winner in Cameroon\u2019s last group stage match against Brazil.<\/p>\n

The Cameroon star is for sure not short of confidence, he recently claimed that he is as good as Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cI don\u2019t give a toss if people don\u2019t like it \u2013 I\u2019m not impressed by him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can do what he does. I just don\u2019t have the opportunity to play in a big club.\u201d<\/p>\n

Since the news about Aboubakar\u2019s release surfaced, the 30-year-old was sensationally linked with a move to Ronaldo\u2019s former club, United.<\/p>\n

However, it looks like Aboubakar\u2019s move to United may not materialize as the Old Trafford club are reportedly closing in on a loan move for Netherlands striker Wout Weghorst.<\/p>\n

Weghorst is currently on loan at Besiktas from Championship side Burnley.<\/p>\n

In the 21\/22 season, Weghorst made a total of 20 Premier League appearances, scoring twice and assisting three times but wasn\u2019t able to prevent Burnely from relegation.<\/p>\n
