{"id":240577,"date":"2023-01-10T11:19:10","date_gmt":"2023-01-10T10:19:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=240577"},"modified":"2023-01-10T11:19:45","modified_gmt":"2023-01-10T10:19:45","slug":"unilorin-considers-virtual-lectures-over-transportation-glitch","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/01\/10\/unilorin-considers-virtual-lectures-over-transportation-glitch\/","title":{"rendered":"UNILORIN Considers Virtual Lectures Over Transportation Glitch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Management of the University of Ilorin, UNILORIN has mooted the idea of virtual lectures over the persistent transportation glitch that has continued to affect the mobility of students.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/WITHINnigeria.com\">Within Nigeria<\/a> reports that the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Kunle Akogun disclosed this in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The statement read, \u201cManagement of the University of Ilorin is deeply concerned about the enormity of the transportation challenges currently being faced by our students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe want to assure all that measures are being put in place to ease this difficulty in the shortest possible time.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Management is currently engaging with the Kwara State Government on the need to conclude the Flyover <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/12\/22\/fec-okays-n87-4bn-for-construction-of-minna-kontogora-highway\/\">construction<\/a> on the Tipper Garage axis of the University Road timely and the provision of more strategic interventions to ease the burden of our students.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe management is also considering the possibility of reviving the virtual lecture option, especially for large classes, to reduce the necessity of having large number of students on the road at peak periods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cArrangements had already been concluded to bring in big buses for massive movement of students but they could not be deployed yet due to the Flyover construction on the University Road.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe management, however, appeals to our better by far students to exercise patience while concerted efforts are being made to resolve the unfortunate transportation challenges.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe welfare of our students remain the mainstay of the Management and this will not be compromised for any reason.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Management of the University of Ilorin, UNILORIN has mooted the idea of virtual lectures over the persistent transportation glitch that has continued to affect the mobility of students.
