A yet-to-be-identified man has been shot dead by a policeman during a clash with traders at the Alaba Rago Market, Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State.<\/p>\n

The incident occurred on Tuesday when policemen attached to the Okokomaiko Division visited the market to arrest a suspect but came under attack from a large number of traders.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that the attack led to a clash<\/a> between both parties, during which, one of the policemen fired his weapon.<\/p>\n

Unfortunately, the bullet hit one of the traders, leading to the person\u2019s death.<\/p>\n

The State Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident said an investigation had commenced into the shooting.<\/p>\n

Hundeyin made the confirmation on his Twitter page on Tuesday, where he narrated the details of the incident.<\/p>\n

The PPRO said, \u201cPolicemen of Okokomaiko Division today (Tuesday) went into Alaba Rago Market to effect arrest of a suspect but came under heavy attack from a large number of traders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn a bid to tactically retreat from the armed mob attack, one of the officers fired his weapon, resulting in fatal injury to one of the attackers.<\/p>\n
