{"id":242677,"date":"2023-01-19T05:13:24","date_gmt":"2023-01-19T04:13:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=242677"},"modified":"2023-01-19T05:13:24","modified_gmt":"2023-01-19T04:13:24","slug":"patient-dies-after-car-runs-over-him-in-juth-premises","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/01\/19\/patient-dies-after-car-runs-over-him-in-juth-premises\/","title":{"rendered":"Patient dies after car runs over him in JUTH premises"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A middle-aged man, identified as Mallam Zubairu, has died after a vehicle ran over him on the premises of Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, Plateau State.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that Zubairu had visited JUTH for a health-related issue where he met his untimely death.<\/p>\n<p>According to NAN, a family member, identified simply as Abok, said the deceased visited the hospital for a routine check-up for an ailment and he was run over by a vehicle on his way out of the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>Abok said: \u201cI usually take him to the hospital for his routine checks but he did not call me today and I was told his son brought him to the hospital.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe had finished seeing the doctor and was on his way to the car park within the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/01\/18\/anambra-doctor-allegedly-drags-female-teacher-to-shrine-over-unpaid-hospital-bill\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hospital<\/a> while his son left him to get a motorcycle that would convey them home.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe, unfortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/12\/03\/ghanas-ayew-daughter-collapsed-after-he-missed-penalty-against-uruguay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">collapsed<\/a> while walking and a vehicle ran over him and he sustained injuries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe was immediately rushed to the emergency section of the hospital but he sadly passed away,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>A staff of the hospital, who expressed shock at the incident, described the deceased as a well-known person as he supplied vegetables to most staff of the hospital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A middle-aged man, identified as Mallam Zubairu, has died after a vehicle ran over him on the premises of Jos University Teaching Hospital, JUTH, Plateau State.
