Najaatu Muhammad, a former senator representing Kano central, has spoken on why he decided to pitch his tent with Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).<\/p>\n

Muhammad, who resigned as the Director of Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) of the All Progressives Congress’ Presidential Campaign Council last weekend, said she dumped the party\u2019s flag bearer, Bola Tinubu, because he’s physically and mentally incapable to lead Nigeria<\/a>. <\/p>\n

She said Tinubu had told her that he had no plans for the north. <\/p>\n

Muhammad said he settled for Atiku because he’s actionable and detailed plans on how he intends to address the existential challenges that plague the country. <\/p>\n

She said \u201cI looked at the options in the APC. They go to rallies and Asiwaju cannot even decipher. When I was speaking with him, I sat with him for two hours and most of the time, he was sleeping,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou ask him questions on this and he is talking completely differently from the topic you are discussing. So, how on earth, what is wrong with Nigerians? What is it that you benefit personally for you to sacrifice over 200 million people?\u201d<\/p>\n

She also said the APC presidential candidate told her he had no blueprint or agenda for the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe told me that he doesn\u2019t have anything for us. I said \u2018you mean sir, you don\u2019t have a blueprint?\u2019 He said \u2018I can\u2019t have a blueprint because if I have a blueprint, I will be stepping on too many toes and they might even kill me\u2019. That was what he said,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, I decided. I said the choice now for me is between Asiwaju and Atiku because both of them have the structures in their parties. Then I looked for Atiku.<\/p>\n

\u201cI sat down with him and said \u2018what is your blueprint on security and agriculture?\u2019 They gave me a whole booklet, and it took me days to go through it.<\/p>\n
