Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has described the loss of his 36-year-old son, Hassan, as a test from God.<\/p>\n

Sule stated this on Friday while receiving condolences at the palace of his father, Sarkin Gudi, HRH Alhaji Sule Bawa, in Akwanga LGA.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that Hassan died on Thursday night<\/a> after a brief illness in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.<\/p>\n

Hassan was laid to rest on Friday in Gudi, Akwanga Local Government Area of the state.<\/p>\n

The governor said from the experiences he had gathered from the Holy Qu\u2019ran, God promised to test the faith of every believer, saying, \u201cThis is my time to be tested.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cI see this as a test from God. I was the person consoling somebody that lost his 9 children and 70 cows yesterday, and today God decided to test me, to see whether I was sincere in consoling that bereaved father.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sule described his late son as a calm, disciplined and obedient young man, who treated his siblings equally and with mutual respect.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe grew up carrying all his siblings along. It\u2019s only God that has the power to take him away. He was the one taking decisions on our businesses. He is always on hand to advice me on what next to do, saying my schedule will not allow me to run any business.<\/p>\n

\u201cGod took him away to test my resilience and faith. God didn\u2019t seek my advice when he gave Hassan to me and he will not seek my advice when he takes him away,\u201d the Governor added.<\/p>\n

The deceased who got married in June last year was Sule\u2019s eldest son with his first wife, Silifat.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
