Aso Rock Villa<\/a> were working to sabotage the APC candidate, Bola Tinubu because their preferred candidate did not win the party primaries.<\/p>\nIn light of El-Rufai’s earlier submission, Fani-Kayode also stated that some people are working behind the scenes to promote Atiku.<\/p>\n
He said:<\/strong><\/p>\nAll these distractions are very disturbing because we are working hard but some people are working to throw obstacles on our path to make sure that this transition does not go smoothly. Furthermore, Fani-Kayode questioned the timing of the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele’s, new naira note policy.<\/p>\n
He believes the timing of such a policy is questionable.<\/p>\n
I find questionable the policies of the governor of the Central Bank. I don\u2019t question the policy itself but the timing. People are suffering; people are going through hell; they can\u2019t achieve anything. But this is what they are going to do,<\/em>\u00a0he said.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\nAtiku Camp Reacts<\/h3>\n
In response to the claim, Charles Aniagwu, a spokesperson for the Atiku campaign, said the APC was only trying to blackmail President Muhammadu Buhari because he wants a credible election.<\/p>\n
Aniagwu questioned why the ruling APC is the one raising the alarm about plans to derail the 2023 elections.<\/p>\n
He said;<\/strong><\/p>\nAll this blackmail by the APC it\u2019s because the president is determined to leave behind a very credible election. And for us in the PDP, we support the attempt by the president to leave behind a very credible election.<\/em><\/p>\nWhy are they crying more than the bereaved. The opposition should be the one to cry.
