The Minister of State for Labour and Employment and spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, Festus Keyamo, said a former party\u2019s campaign Director of Civil Society Organisations, Naja\u2019atu Mohammed, chased the party’s flag bearer, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, to London in the United Kingdom for the PCC appointment.<\/p>\n

Keyamo said Naja\u2019atu<\/a> had been identified as the mole and told her orally to leave before she resigned.<\/p>\n

He stated these during an interview with PUNCH.<\/p>\n

Responding to what led to Naja\u2019atu exit from the APC and Tinubu’s campaign, Keyamo<\/a> said, “There was no internal wrangling. She had already been identified as the mole before then. They had told her orally to leave.<\/p>\n

“Members of our directorate had complained. She has not been an important member of the structure of the party before. She lobbied for that position. She chased Asiwaju all the way to London to lobby for that position. But all along, the council kept an eye on her. They knew she was a mole.<\/p>\n

‘So, if she went to London and saw that there was something wrong with Asiwaju<\/a>, why did she come back to accept the position and waited four months before backing out?<\/p>\n

“What she went to London to do was to grovel and lobby. We don\u2019t see people who are worth their salt pursuing Asiwaju all over the globe. Why did she not meet him in Nigeria? Why chase him to London?”<\/p>\n

The minister also debunked claim made by Naja\u2019atu that Tinubu is inaccessible, stating that, “Isn\u2019t he holding town hall meetings with Nigerians? These are Nigerians he is meeting. He is accessible. But when you want to meet someone, it has to be arranged.”<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
