Shehu Sani, a former Kaduna Central legislator, has urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to allow the police to distribute new naira notes to the public.<\/p>\n

Sani said in a statement on Saturday that because commercial banks have been hoarding the new naira notes, the Police should be given the responsibility.<\/p>\n

According to him, the CBN should distribute the new notes to the police for further distribution to the general public.<\/a><\/p>\n

However, it was noted that the former lawmaker’s statement could have been sarcastic.<\/p>\n
