{"id":249195,"date":"2023-02-15T16:50:31","date_gmt":"2023-02-15T15:50:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=249195"},"modified":"2023-02-15T16:52:28","modified_gmt":"2023-02-15T15:52:28","slug":"court-remands-suspected-killers-of-fatinoye-family-others-in-prison","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/02\/15\/court-remands-suspected-killers-of-fatinoye-family-others-in-prison\/","title":{"rendered":"Court remands suspected killers of Fatinoye family, others in prison"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Magistrates\u2019 Court II sitting in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday, remanded the suspected killers of Abeokuta couple, Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, and their only surviving son, Oreoluwa, in prison for 60 days.<\/p>\n<p>The court presided over by Chief Magistrate Esther Idowu, also remanded the buyers of the stolen car of the deceased, as well as the mother and girlfriend of the suspected mastermind of the crime, Lekan Adekanbi, in prisons.<\/p>\n<p>While Adekanbi, Odetola Ahmed and Adeniyi Waheed were remanded in Oba Correctional Centre, other accomplices, Fadairo Temitope and Adekanbi Adenike were remanded in Ibara Correctional Centre.<\/p>\n<p>The suspected buyers of a vehicle stolen from the deceased compound, Owolaja Anuoluwapo and Usman Azeez, were also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/02\/11\/man-remanded-for-stealing-ladies-pants-in-kwara\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">remanded<\/a> in Oba prison for 60 days also.<\/p>\n<p>They were brought before the court on an 11-count charge bordering on murder, conspiracy to commit felony, arson, stealing, escape from lawful authority, amongst others.<\/p>\n<p>The remand for sixty days in the first instance, according to the Chief Magistrate, was pending the legal advice of the Department of Public Prosecution, DPP.<\/p>\n<p>Although, the accused persons were not allowed to take their pleas because of the nature of the case, an application for remand was however moved by Oluwatosin Jackson, applicants counsel.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Magistrates\u2019 Court II sitting in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, on Wednesday, remanded the suspected killers of Abeokuta couple, Kehinde and Bukola Fatinoye, and their only surviving son, Oreoluwa, in prison for 60 days.
