{"id":249761,"date":"2023-02-18T04:29:46","date_gmt":"2023-02-18T03:29:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=249761"},"modified":"2023-02-18T04:29:46","modified_gmt":"2023-02-18T03:29:46","slug":"illegal-detention-ex-aide-sues-aisha-buhari-for-n100m","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/02\/18\/illegal-detention-ex-aide-sues-aisha-buhari-for-n100m\/","title":{"rendered":"Illegal detention: Ex-aide sues Aisha Buhari for N100m"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A former Special Assistant to the President in the Office of the First Lady, Zainab Kassim has filed a suit against the President\u2019s wife, Aisha Buhari for alleged Illegal detention, while demanding N100m as damages from her and other respondents.<\/p>\n<p>The other respondents in the case are the Inspector-General of Police and the Department of State Services.<\/p>\n<p>According to Kassim, some DSS officers acting on the orders of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/11\/27\/sss-arrests-tortures-man-for-saying-aisha-buhari-added-massive-weight-after-embezzling-nigerias-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Aisha<\/a> allegedly abducted her and took her to the Presidential Villa where she was severely assaulted, dehumanised, and abused by the first lady. She added that Aisha with the support of DSS officers and Police deleted her posts on social media.<\/p>\n<p>In the suit with the number: FHC\/ABJ\/OS\/202\/2023, she asked the court to declare her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/11\/30\/breaking-police-secretly-arraign-remand-aminu-aisha-buharis-critic-in-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arrest and detention<\/a> as unlawful.
