Mr. Monday Tom, Delta State’s Resident Electoral Commissioner, confirmed this to journalists on Monday, shortly after the results of Ukwani Local Government Area were announced.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cThere were incidents of attack in Ukwani Local Government Area where one of us died on their way coming after the election.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe gunmen opened fire at their bus and unfortunately killed one and injured the corps members.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe corpers are now receiving treatment but we are planning how to move the corps members who were injured to a hospital in Asaba\u201d<\/p>\n
