Former Aviation Minister Femi Fani-Kayode has called a letter purportedly written by Nigeria’s President-elect, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain, Bode George, a forgery.<\/p>\n
Tinubu, according to the letter, asked George not to go into self-exile or political retirement after his election as president-elect.<\/p>\n
Tinubu was said to have assured the former National Vice Chairman of the PDP in the letter, which has been circulating on social media, that he would not be victimized for not supporting him.<\/p>\n
I hope you find it within yourself to stay and be a part of Nigeria\u2019s hopeful future.<\/em><\/p>\n
However, if you feel that you do not want to live in the new Nigeria, nobody, least of all me, can force you to remain here<\/em>, part of the letter in circulation reads.<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
In a tweet on Wednesday, Fani-Kayode stated that the letter from Tinubu to George is a forgery and that all Nigerians should disregard it.<\/p>\n
The APC chieftain stated that the president-elect has more important things to do than sit down and write a letter to the PDP chieftain.<\/p>\n
