President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived in Daura, Katsina State, where he lives in the country, to take part in tomorrow’s elections for governor and the state assembly.<\/p>\n

The President visited the palace of the Emir of Daura, Dr. Umar Faruk Umar, upon his arrival in Daura, to express his sincere condolences and those of the country following the death of Hajiya Talatu, the oldest daughter, according to a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu.<\/p>\n

\"\" \"\" \"\" \"\"<\/p>\n

The President paid tribute to the late woman during the visit, calling her the model of a mother who exemplified decency, compassion, and a very good character.<\/p>\n

\u201cI commiserate with you on this moment of sadness for the Emir, the Emirate Council<\/a> and the people of Daura,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n

The Emir thanked the President for the visit and wished him a peaceful and successful end to his tenure.<\/p>\n

Prayers were said for the repose of the deceased and the wellbeing of the President and the nation.<\/p>\n

The President was received at the Umaru Musa Yar\u2019Adua International Airport by the Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, the Deputy Governor, Mannir Yakubu, Senator Bello Mandiya, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ambassador Ahmed Rufa\u2019i Abubakar, Governorship Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, Speaker, Chief Judge and members of the State Assembly and Executive Council.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
