The inability of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to declare the Governorship election results in Yola, Adamawa State’s capital, has caused chaos in the state.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA\u00a0understands that political thugs and miscreants have unleashed terror attacks and other criminal tendencies on the citizenry of the state.<\/p>\n

The problem started at the INEC Collation Center<\/a> after the Returning Officer, Professor Mohammed Mele, announced that the results would be announced on Monday morning at around 1 a.m.<\/p>\n

When word of the postponement reached the state capital, hundreds of thugs took over strategic locations to attack innocent citizens and passers-by, motorists, and other committees.<\/p>\n

Politicians, journalists, INEC staff, and others at the Collation Centre are being held hostage at the INEC headquarters because no one dares to leave.<\/p>\n

Only the Service Commanders were able to smuggle themselves back to their homes, while others who were at INEC on election duty were held hostage.<\/p>\n

Even though they are armed to the teeth with guns and other dangerous weapons, the hoodlums used petrol bombs.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
