Bayo Onanuga<\/a>, Director of Media and Publicity for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign council, has slammed hasty purveyors in the aftermath of the Appeal Court’s decision on the Osun governorship election, which was held today.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA previously reported that the appeal court confirmed Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as governor of Osun and fined the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Gboyega Oyetola, N500,000.<\/p>\n

However, prior to the Appeal Court ruling on the case, Femi Fani-Kayode, former Aviation Minister and Director of Special Media Projects in the APC campaign council, claimed that the court upheld Ademola Adeleke’s removal as governor of Osun.<\/p>\n

He wrote:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Another great victory for the APC today,\u201d <\/em>Fani-Kayode wrote in a now-deleted tweet, adding \u201cThis time it\u2019s at the Court of Appeal. Congrats to Gov. Oyetola and thanks be to God. Whilst our enemies keep lamenting, we just keep WINNING!!!<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Although it is unclear whether Bayo Onanuga was responding to FFK’s post, he did share a tweet warning that social media news should never be trusted.<\/p>\n

Some people, he claims, did not wait for the final decision in the Osun state Appeal Court case before speculating on fake news.<\/p>\n

He tweeted:<\/strong><\/p>\n
