In order to construct a hostel with 4,000 beds for students attending the state university in the Keffi Local Government Area, the Nasarawa State Government joined up with the United Kingdom Nigeria Infrastructure Advisory Facility.<\/p>\n

The cooperation will also usher in financially supported technical help for the state’s planning of projects involving climate smart infrastructure.<\/p>\n

Governor Abdullahi Sule<\/a> expressed confidence that the collaboration would promote productivity, lessen poverty, and strengthen the state’s economy while speaking at the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in Lafia.<\/p>\n

The relationship, which was made possible by the state’s Investment and Development Agency, also relies on a shared structure for accountability between the state government and UKNIAF.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cAs we sign this mutual accountability framework, we wish to reaffirm our promise and commitment to do things differently. We will continue to work innovatively, leverage partnerships, and implement essential policy reforms that translate to good governance for everyone across Nasarawa State.<\/p>\n

\u201cI crave the continuous support of all stakeholders in ensuring that this signing today translates into tangible benefits for all, as we inch closer to the Nasarawa of our dreams.\u201d<\/p>\n

In his remark, the Managing Director of UKNIAF, Prof Chidiebere Onyia, said five key reforms initiated by Governor Sule\u2019s administration were the catalyst for the public-private partnership agreement between UKNIAF and the state government.<\/p>\n

Onyia further lauded the efforts of NASIDA in attracting investments and developments to the state, and promised to continue to partner with the government on initiatives that would boost the state\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n
