The National Working Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party has announced the appointment of new national chairman following the suspension of the embattled Iyorchia Ayu<\/p>\n
The party announced the appointment of Umar Damagum, to oversee the affairs of the party in acting capacity pending the outcome of the litigation against Ayu. <\/p>\n
National Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Debo Ologunagba, made the announcement at a press conference on Tuesday, at the party\u2019s secretariat.<\/p>\n
Ayu, who’s been walking a tightrope since the conclusion of the party\u2019s presidential primary that saw Alhaji Atiku Abubakar clinched the ticket last year, was suspended on Sunday by his ward in Gboko, Benue state.<\/p>\n
