Governor of Imo State, Sen. Hope Uzodimma’s newly appointed special adviser for northern affairs, Hassan Adamu Sokoto, has tasked the 19 governors of the Northern states of Nigeria to immediately appoint aides on Igbo Affairs.<\/p>\n

Speaking to journalists in Owerri on Thursday, Adamu stated that appointing core Igbos as Special Advisers on Eastern Affairs to the Government of the 19 Northern States will strengthen inter-state businesses and ensure Nigeria’s unity, peace, and progress.<\/p>\n

In the recently concluded general elections, the Kebbi State-born All Progressives Congress, APC, Presidential Campaign Council Chairman of the South East Hausa Community, lauded Uzodimma for providing adequate security, a conducive atmosphere, and a level playing field for their various businesses.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cAPC won with a landslide in Imo because of the tremendous achievements of Governor Uzodimma. The resounding victory was an indication of Uzodimma\u2019s good governance.<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd I am using this medium to charge Muslims in Imo State to seize this holy month of Ramadan to pray for a peaceful Imo gubernatorial election come November 11, 2023, and Uzodimma\u2019s re-election.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thank Governor Uzodimma for allowing me to serve my people. I will make sure that all the northerners from the 19 states of northern Nigeria feel the impacts of Uzodimma\u2019s<\/a> good governance. I will equally make sure that northern governors appoint Igbo Affairs Aides to work in tandem in arresting our business challenges\u201d, he promised.<\/p>\n

He congratulated the President-elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and his Vice, Kashim Shettima, and APC elected Governors, Senators, House of Representatives and State Houses of Assembly members especially the 27 Imo House of Assembly members-elect.<\/p>\n

\u201cLook at Owerri-Orlu, Oweri-Okigwe, and Owerri-Umuahia Roads. We can now boast of a good road network in Imo State. I am optimistic that Uzodimma will complete 8years in the office,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
