Bukayo Saka, a forward for Arsenal, has gained another accolade after being named the Premier League’s EA Sports Player of the Month for March on Friday.<\/p>\n

Saka’s contribution to Arsenal’s success so far this season cannot be overstated, as he currently has 22 goals in 28 league appearances.<\/p>\n

The England international began the month with a goal and an assist in Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Everton, and ended it with three goal involvements in Sunday’s win over Crystal Palace<\/a>, where he scored twice to become the division’s first player to reach double figures in goals and assists this season.<\/p>\n

Celebrating Saka, the club on its website wrote, \u201cIt is our forward\u2019s first divisional success of his career, as he becomes the 22nd different player to win the prize in our colours \u2013 the most of any other club in the league\u2019s history.\u201d<\/p>\n

Saka\u2019s scintillating form saw him come out on top of the voting, ahead of teammate Leandro Trossard, who laid on five assists during the month, as well as Newcastle United\u2019s Alexander Isak, Liverpool\u2019s Mohamed Salah, Brighton & Hove Albion\u2019s Alexis Mac Allister and Tyrone Mings of Aston Villa.<\/p>\n

It is the second time this season the prize has been handed to an Arsenal player, with captain Martin Odegaard receiving the November\/December award.<\/p>\n

Former Arsenal captain Tony Adams recently described Saka as the best player in world football apart from World Cup winner Lionel Messi.<\/p>\n

The 21-year-old also netted a glorious goal from outside the box against Ukraine on Sunday, helping the Three Lions remain at the top of their Euro 2024 qualifying group with a 2-0 victory,<\/p>\n

He is also set to become the highest paid player in Arsenal and the ninth in the EPL when he signs his new contract with the club.<\/p>\n

While his present contract is due to expire in the summer of 2024<\/a>, it is hopeful the winger will extend his contract with the Gunners to 2028.<\/p>\n

With the deal, he is expected to earn four times his current salary and become the Gunners\u2019 highest-paid player.<\/p>\n

He currently earns a weekly wage of \u00a370,000 which could become a whooping \u00a3300,000-per-week, once the ew contract is signed.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
