Civil servants in Osun State have been given an explanation for why their March salaries were delayed by a few days.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA\u00a0reports that Governor\u00a0Ademola Adeleke has assured them of their March salaries in a couple of days.<\/p>\n

The salaries were delayed, according to the governor, because the state government is working to pay promotion arrears.<\/p>\n

Adeleke<\/a> explained that the March salaries would include the payment of promotion arrears in a statement issued by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed in Osogbo.<\/p>\n

He claimed that the March salaries were delayed due to the ongoing computation of promotion arrears of civil servants promoted without pay in the previous four years.<\/p>\n

The governor noted that;<\/strong><\/p>\n

The March salary alongside the promotion arrears of promoted civil servants will be ready next week.<\/em><\/p>\n

The compilation of what is due to each promoted officer is followed with due diligence to ensure that there is no error in the eventual payment.<\/em><\/p>\n

Governor Ademola Adeleke has directed that compilation, analysis and computation of the promotion arrears should be completed and paid to the affected civil servants.
