{"id":259796,"date":"2023-04-03T05:00:40","date_gmt":"2023-04-03T04:00:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=259796"},"modified":"2023-04-03T05:00:40","modified_gmt":"2023-04-03T04:00:40","slug":"lamata-reacts-to-video-clip-of-people-pushing-train-in-lagos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/04\/03\/lamata-reacts-to-video-clip-of-people-pushing-train-in-lagos\/","title":{"rendered":"LAMATA reacts to video clip of people pushing train in Lagos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, LAMATA, has reacted to the viral video of four people purportedly pushing one of the train sets to be deployed for passenger operations for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit, LRMT, Blue Line.<\/p>\n<p>LAMATA urged members of the public to disregard the video in it\u2019s entirety, describing it as an obviously doctored video clip.<\/p>\n<p>WITHIN NIGERIA had reported that the viral video which has stirred reactions from Nigerians online showed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/gist\/2023\/04\/02\/officials-spotted-pushing-newly-commissioned-train-in-lagos-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">officials of the Lagos State Rail Transport pushing a train<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the development, Consultant, Corporate Communication, Kolawole Ojelabi, on Sunday, described the video as misleading.<\/p>\n<p>Ojelabi said, \u201cThe Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/01\/24\/just-in-buhari-sets-to-inaugurate-lagos-blue-rail-others\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LAMATA<\/a>, is in receipt of an obviously doctored video clip showing four people purportedly pushing one of the train sets to be deployed for passenger operations for the Lagos Rail Mass Transit (LRMT) Blue Line.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom our investigation, we discovered that the train was clearly moving and these people purportedly \u201cpushing\u201d the train were behind it doing \u201cGod knows what.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet\u2019s be smart here: from the average length of the trains, even 20 people can\u2019t push it.
