Kubeinje, directed the prosecutor to send the case file to the State Director of Public Prosecution for legal advice and adjourned the case till May 5.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier, the prosecution counsel, DSP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that the offence was committed on March 23 at the White Sand area, Ijora-Badia, Lagos.<\/p>\n<p>Ajayi said the 16-year-old mother of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/03\/29\/lagos-man-arrested-for-having-sexual-intercourse-with-9-month-old-baby\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">baby<\/a> had her child in the care of Agboola to buy noodles not too far from her home.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.<\/p>\n<p>The section states that any person who has unlawful sexual intercourse with a child is guilty of a felony and is liable to life imprisonment.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>27-year-old street urchin, Adebayo Agboola, has been in Kirikiri Correctional Centre, Lagos for allegedly defiling his neighbour&#8217;s nine-month-old baby.
