Bob Lee, the founder of Cash App and former chief technology officer at Square, has been murdered. <\/p>\n
The Fintech guru was stabbed to death on Tuesday morning, close to downtown San Francisco in the United States.<\/p>\n
Police were called to a stabbing report in the city\u2019s Rincon Hill neighbourhood, in the 300 block of Main Street, at around 2:35 a.m., according to media reports. <\/p>\n
Lee was discovered at the scene and taken to a nearby hospital where he gave up the ghost, dying form the multiple wounds inflicted on him by his assailants. <\/p>\n
Although the victim\u2019s identity was still unknown as of Tuesday night, close associates of Lee confirmed that he was the victim of the fatal attack.<\/p>\n
Lee, the chief product officer of San Francisco-based cryptocurrency startup MobileCoin, was 43 years old. <\/p>\n
His demise has sparked a flood of condolences on social media from friends, family, and coworkers, many of whom shared their condolences on Twitter.<\/p>\n
No arrests have been made. <\/p>\n
San Francisco police have not disclosed any suspect information. <\/p>\n
