A yet-to-be-identified suspected kidnapper\u2019s informant has committed suicide by stabbing himself in order to avoid being arrested by the anti-kidnap officers of the FCT police command at Gaube in Kuje Area Council.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that one other suspected kidnapper\u2019s informant was arrested by police and moved to the FCT police command.<\/p>\n

WITHIN NIGERIA recalls that kidnappers killed a man, Musa Abari, and abducted his pregnant wife,<\/a> Huraira, along with five others in Kasada village of Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).<\/p>\n

According to Daily Trust, a member of the vigilante group in Gaube, who preferred anonymity, confirmed the suicide incident and the arrest. He added that one of the informants was arrested at a football viewing centre in Gaube by members of the special anti-kidnap unit of the FCT police command.<\/p>\n

He said the deceased suspect, who upon sighting the anti-kidnap officers, and with no chance to escape, pulled out a knife from his body and stabbed<\/a> himself in the stomach.<\/p>\n

The vigilante member said the officers later moved the suspect\u2019s corpse into their pickup van and deposited it at Kuje General Hospital mortuary, while the other suspect was moved to the FCT police command.<\/p>\n

The man, who was reportedly killed by kidnappers while trying to save his wife, was a school teacher at the Local Education Authority (LEA) Primary School, Gaube.<\/p>\n

Daily Trust reported that the late teacher owned a football viewing centre in Gaube, where two of the kidnappers\u2019 informants usually went to watch football matches.<\/p>\n

The FCT police spokeswoman, DSP Adeh Josephine, was yet to officially response over the arrest of the suspects as at the time of filing the report.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
