{"id":26381,"date":"2021-04-26T22:01:48","date_gmt":"2021-04-26T21:01:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=26381"},"modified":"2021-04-26T22:01:48","modified_gmt":"2021-04-26T21:01:48","slug":"cbn-releases-list-of-imtos-for-diaspora-remittances","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/04\/26\/cbn-releases-list-of-imtos-for-diaspora-remittances\/","title":{"rendered":"CBN releases list of IMTOs for diaspora remittances"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has published an updated list of International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) approved for Diaspora Remittances in the country.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/04\/09\/cbn-freezes-11-bank-accounts-of-companies-individuals\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">apex bank<\/a> disclosed this via its official website on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Among the IMTOs listed are: Aftab Currency Exchange Ltd, Nigerian Postal Service, Ria Financial, PayPal Inc, Western Union, Swift Payment Ltd and Worldremit Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>Others on the list include; Money Gram, Interswitch Ltd, Paycom Nigeria Ltd, Pagatech Ltd and Flutterwave Technology Solutions Ltd, among others.<\/p>\n<p>CBN had earlier announced a new \u201cCBN Naira for Dollar Scheme \u201dfor senders and recipients of International money transfers.<\/p>\n<p>The CBN in a statement released by its Director, Trade and Exchange Department, A.S Jibrin, said it will through commercial banks pay remittance recipients the Incentive of N5 for every $1 remitted by the sender and collected by the designated beneficiary.<\/p>\n<p>It stated that all recipients of diaspora remittances through CBN licensed IMTOS shall henceforth be paid N5 for every $1 received as remittance inflow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has published an updated list of International Money Transfer Operators (IMTOs) approved for Diaspora Remittances in the country.
