{"id":263883,"date":"2023-04-21T06:20:03","date_gmt":"2023-04-21T05:20:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=263883"},"modified":"2023-04-21T06:20:03","modified_gmt":"2023-04-21T05:20:03","slug":"juventus-return-to-3rd-spot-from-7th-after-court-ruling","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/04\/21\/juventus-return-to-3rd-spot-from-7th-after-court-ruling\/","title":{"rendered":"Juventus Return To 3rd Spot From 7th After Court Ruling"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An Italian court has overturned Juventus&#8217; 15-point deduction, which had been imposed by the country&#8217;s appeals court.<\/p>\n<p>WITHIN NIGERIA\u00a0recalls that Juventus was slammed with the point deduction after they were found guilty of fabricating trade earnings to manipulate balance sheets.<\/p>\n<p>However, on Thursday, April 20, Italy&#8217;s highest sporting court ordered that the points be restored and that the case be re-examined.<\/p>\n<p>As a result, the case will be remanded to the Italian Football Federation appeals court, the same court that initially ordered the points deduction.<\/p>\n<p>This also means that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2022\/03\/20\/juventus-director-opens-up-on-ronaldos-man-united-return\/\">Juventus<\/a>, who were seventh in the Italian Serie A, will move up to third.<\/p>\n<p>At the time of writing, Juventus were two points behind second-placed Lazio and three points ahead of fourth-placed Roma.<\/p>\n<p>AC Milan appeared to be the worst affected club, falling to fifth place with 53 points in 30 games. If Roma and Juventus do not lose any of their remaining eight league games, AC Milan will be forced to play in the Europa League next season.<\/p>\n<p>AC Milan, on the other hand, is in the Champions League semi-finals, where they will face Inter Milan.
