{"id":26453,"date":"2021-04-27T05:23:48","date_gmt":"2021-04-27T04:23:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=26453"},"modified":"2021-04-27T05:23:48","modified_gmt":"2021-04-27T04:23:48","slug":"one-dead-three-injured-in-lagos-auto-crash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/04\/27\/one-dead-three-injured-in-lagos-auto-crash\/","title":{"rendered":"One dead, three injured in Lagos auto crash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One person has been confirmed dead and three other injured after a commercial bus collided with two vehicles at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza area of Lekki in Lagos State on Monday.<\/p>\n<p>It was gathered that the accident, which occurred around 8am, involved a black Volkswagen commercial bus with plate number FKJ123YC, a black Highlander SUV and one other vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2021\/04\/27\/man-burnt-to-death-in-kwara-petrol-tanker-accident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">accident<\/a> was attributed to top speed by one of the drivers, who lost control and hit the other vehicles.<\/p>\n<p>One of the passengers in the commercial bus reportedly died on the spot, while three others occupants, who were injured, were rushed to hospital.<\/p>\n<p>According to The PUNCH, an eyewitness, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said, \u201cThere was a fatal accident at Lekki tollgate involving a commercial bus and a car. Four casualties are on the ground while one of them is dead.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe injured victims were taken to a nearby hospital for medical attention.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It was learnt that emergency responders, who attended to the victims, included officials of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency and the Lekki Concession Company.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One person has been confirmed dead and three other injured after a commercial bus collided with two vehicles at the Admiralty Circle Toll Plaza area of Lekki in Lagos State on Monday.
