Festus Keyamo, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, has issued a stern warning to those planning to sabotage the judicial process in election tribunal cases.<\/p>\n
Those who intend to tamper<\/a> with the judicial process, according to the Minister, will end up creating another Sudan in Nigeria.<\/p>\n On Monday, Keyamo announced this via Twitter.<\/p>\n The minister, who served as President-elect Bola Tinubu’s campaign spokesperson during the recently concluded 2023 elections, described the move as one of “cheap tactics.”<\/p>\n Parts of the tweets read;<\/strong><\/p>\n The Tribunals and Courts should decide these cases devoid of any kind of intimidation from any of the parties and their supporters.<\/em> Well, just as they often issue the empty boast that they are a different \u2018movement\u2019 and the judiciary should not \u2018mess\u2019 with them, they will soon realize that the judiciary is also a different kind of institution with which they cannot \u2018mess\u2019.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Some partisan clowns gathered together and declared that they have constituted themselves as \u2018watchdogs over the judiciary in respect of the pending Election Petitions. They have warned of dire consequences if \u2018justice\u2019 is not done in the Petitions. \nI call on all supporters of the APC and all patriots to remain calm and be respectful towards the judiciary and be ready at all times to respect and defend the judiciary and our constitution no matter which way the wind blows. Any attempt to destroy the judiciary (as these characters are bent on doing) is an invitation to another \u2018Sudan\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n\n
