Mazi Emma Uche, a southeast chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, declared his defection from the party on Tuesday in favour of the Labour Party (LP) in Abia state.<\/p>\n
He joined his close political allies and throngs of supporters in the state’s Arochukwu Local Government Area in defecting to the LP.<\/p>\n
The party leader made the announcement on Tuesday while speaking to a variety of journalists.<\/p>\n
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which recently held general elections in most states of the federation, including Abia, cited Mr. Uche, a former candidate of the APC during the most recent local council area elections held in the state of Abia, as justification for the ongoing and inevitable internal crisis ravaging the Abia chapter of the All Progressives Congress.<\/p>\n
He regretted that the persisting crisis in the state party chapter has continued to truncate the genuine desire and chances of the APC to win election and form a government in Abia state.<\/p>\n
According to him in words: \u201cOtti has the required capacity, ability, competence, and expertises to address myriads of challenges impeding growths of the state; and restore the state on the path of economic greatness. He has demonstrated similar strides in private sector-driven administration and economic investments in the country.<\/p>\n
