James Benjamin, an officer with the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), has been promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Corrections I.<\/p>\n

The officer was recognised for his bravery during the July 5, 2022 break-in at the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Kuje, Abuja.<\/p>\n

In a letter to the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Service Board, Controller General of Corrections<\/a> Haliru Nababa recommended the promotion.<\/p>\n

Ahmadu Adamu, Deputy Controller General, Directorate of Human Resources, represented Nababa at Benjamin’s decoration.<\/p>\n

The CG said the NCoS would continue to recognize and reward the commitment of its personnel in the discharge of their duties.<\/p>\n

In his remarks, Adamu implored officers and men to be dedicated and charged the newly elevated officer to do more for the service.<\/p>\n

Benjamin was recruited into NCoS on August 6, 2012, as Assistant Inspector, and until now was an Assistant Superintendent of Corrections II.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
