{"id":266885,"date":"2023-05-05T18:12:31","date_gmt":"2023-05-05T17:12:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=266885"},"modified":"2023-05-05T18:12:31","modified_gmt":"2023-05-05T17:12:31","slug":"apc-accuses-pdp-of-planning-to-intimidate-supreme-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/05\/05\/apc-accuses-pdp-of-planning-to-intimidate-supreme-court\/","title":{"rendered":"APC Accuses PDP Of Planning To Intimidate Supreme Court"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which is now in power in Osun State, has come under fire from the All Progressives Congress (APC) for allegedly plotting to inflame the political climate there and stir up unrest in Abuja in order to intimidate the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<p>Osun APC said it had reliable information that the state chapter of the PDP had devised a plan to hire fifty 18-seater buses to transport political hoodlums to Abuja to besiege the Supreme Court in order to create a false impression of Governor Ademola Adeleke&#8217;s acceptability and popularity in a statement made available to newsmen in Osogbo yesterday by the state acting chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, and its director of media and information<\/p>\n<p>Lawal said the alleged plans of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/03\/10\/just-in-ignore-petitions-from-lazyopposition-osun-pdp-tells-ig\/\">PDP could described as intimidation of the judiciary saying such plans should never be condoned by any sane mind.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He, therefore, enjoined the Osun commissioner of police and the heads of other statutory security agencies in the state to quickly investigate the unsavoury development with a view to arresting, investigating and prosecuting perpetrators.<\/p>\n<p>Reacting to the allegations, the PDP described APC\u2019s claims as lies and falsehood, saying the allegations were \u201cconsequences of extreme hallucinations arising from.advanced stage of depression within the APC leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The ruling party chairman, Sunday Bisi, recalled alleged recent multiple twisting of facts by the APC and called on the opposition party to, for once, \u201cact responsibly and honestly by stopping its chronic deceitful ways which accounted for its defeat in recent several elections in Osun State.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is laughable for anybody to accuse PDP of planning to mobilise thugs to the Supreme Court. Do these people know where the Supreme Court is located at all?
