The Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for president and the party intend to present 50 witnesses in support of their appeal to the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC).<\/p>\n

This was just stated in the petition’s continuing pre-hearing conference by their attorney, Awa Kalu (SAN).<\/p>\n

Due to ongoing issues with their interactions with INEC, Kalu’s clients will need seven weeks to submit their case, he said.<\/p>\n

He said that some of the documents required from INEC and the forensic analysis of the BVAS devices used in the most recent presidential election by the petitioners, as directed by the court, are still pending.<\/p>\n

Lawyer to INEC<\/a> said his client plans to call five witnesses and conduct its case within seven days.<\/p>\n

Lawyer to Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettma<\/a>, Roland Otaru (SAN) said his clients will call 21 witnesses with the exclusion of other expert witnesses to be called.<\/p>\n

Otaru said although the a law allows a respondent 10 days to conduct its case, they intend to use nine days.<\/p>\n

Lawyer to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Adeniyi Akintola (SAN) said his client plans to invite seven witnesses, excluding subpoenaed witnesses.<\/p>\n

Akintola said the APC plans to conduct its case within nine days.<\/p>\n
