{"id":269712,"date":"2023-05-21T18:45:16","date_gmt":"2023-05-21T17:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=269712"},"modified":"2023-05-21T18:45:16","modified_gmt":"2023-05-21T17:45:16","slug":"tinubu-challenged-to-release-photos-of-meeting-with-investors-in-france","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/05\/21\/tinubu-challenged-to-release-photos-of-meeting-with-investors-in-france\/","title":{"rendered":"Tinubu Challenged To Release Photos Of Meeting With Investors In France"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/05\/08\/tinubu-drops-nominees-reconsiders-cabinet-appointments-bwala\/\">Daniel Bwala<\/a>, a spokesperson for Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, has challenged President-elect Bola Tinubu to release photos of meetings he allegedly had with investors in France.<\/p>\n<p>It can be recalled that Tinubu raised eyebrows during his 10 days trip to France, barely two weeks after he returned to Nigeria from his post-election break, which lasted for about a month.<\/p>\n<p>During the trip, there were speculations that Tinubu had travelled out on medical grounds.<\/p>\n<p>But his media aide, Tunde Rahman, in a statement said that the former Governor of Lagos State left the country to carry out some tasks.<\/p>\n<p>Rahman said Tinubu would use the opportunity to fine-tune the transition plans, programmes, and policy options with some of his aides.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, Tinubu during the visit, would engage with investors and other key allies.<\/p>\n<p>However, reacting to Tinubu\u2019s return on Saturday, in a post via Twitter, Daniel Bwala said there were no meetings between Tinubu and any investors in France, instead,\u00a0 Tinubu only met with politicians and lobbyists from Nigeria.<\/p>\n<p><strong>He wrote:<\/strong><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Now that he (Tinubu) has finished his so-called official visit to meet with investors, etc, I dare them to release the photos of those meetings.<\/p>\n<p>I bet you if they release the photos, the foreign investors would turn out to be Nigerian politicians and Nigerian lobbyists from Nigeria.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Now that he has finished his so-called official visit to meet with investors etc.I dare them to release the photos of those meetings.
