Former Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has just been sworn-in as the 16th Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.<\/p>\n

He was sworn in at Eagles Square with the Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Olukayode Ariwoola<\/a> administering the oath of office on him.<\/p>\n

Shettima took the oaths at about 10.30am on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

His wife, Nana Shettima, was standing beside him when he took the oaths.<\/p>\n

Shortly after, President elect, Bola Tinubu, will be invited for the same formalities in order to become Nigeria\u2019s 16th President.<\/p>\n

Recall that Shettima emerged as the Vice President in the February 25 presidential election as running-mate to Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
