{"id":271558,"date":"2023-06-01T06:47:48","date_gmt":"2023-06-01T05:47:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/?p=271558"},"modified":"2023-06-01T06:47:48","modified_gmt":"2023-06-01T05:47:48","slug":"benue-man-asks-court-to-end-marriage-over-wifes-affair-with-clergyman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/06\/01\/benue-man-asks-court-to-end-marriage-over-wifes-affair-with-clergyman\/","title":{"rendered":"Benue Man Asks Court To End Marriage Over Wife\u2019s Affair With Clergyman"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>One Tersoo Yese has sought dissolution of his 13-year-old marriage with his wife, Susan following her alleged plans to elope with a clergyman.<\/p>\n<p>To achieve his goal, he has approached the Makurdi area court in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.withinnigeria.com\/news\/2023\/05\/29\/breaking-gov-alia-freezes-all-benue-state-bank-accounts\/\">Benue State<\/a> and asked it to end his matrimony. <\/p>\n<p>He told the court that his wife engaged in diabolism and also had affairs with other men.<\/p>\n<p>He also prayed the court to grant him custody of the children. <\/p>\n<p>Yese in his petition said: \u201cMy marriage from onset was characterised by crises, abuse, disobedience, misunderstanding, lies, manipulation, hate and rage.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI married Susan in 2010 and we have four children. I have suffered a lot in the hands of the respondent and have been enduring.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSusan indulges in extra-marital affairs and is fetish. Her plan is to join her lover, Apostle Emmanuel, who operates in the UK and Abuja.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He told the court that his estranged wife saved N500,000 for herself from money he gave her for housekeep and that she and her lover planned to take his children along.<\/p>\n<p>He, therefore, prayed the court to dissolve the marriage and grant him custody of the four children.<\/p>\n<p>However, the wife opposed the dissolution of the marriage.<\/p>\n<p>The Magistrate, Mrs Dooshima Ikpambes, asked the parties to explore out-of-court settlement and report back.<\/p>\n<p>Mrs Ikpabese then adjourned the case to July 10.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>One Tersoo Yese has sought dissolution of his 13-year-old marriage with his wife, Susan following her alleged plans to elope with a clergyman.
