Government Ekpemupolo, a former militant leader better known as Tompolo, says appointment of Nuhu Ribadu as national security adviser (NSA) will do Nigeria a lot of good. <\/p>\n
Tompolo paid for a full page in the Vanguard newspaper on Wednesday to felicitate with the former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).<\/p>\n
Before his appointment as NSA, President Bola Tinubu had initially appointed Ribadu as a special adviser on security.<\/p>\n
The former militant said Ribadu, whom he described as \u201cbrother\u201d, would take measures that improve the country\u2019s security apparatus.<\/p>\n
He expressed delight at Ribadu’s appointment, adding that the former EFCC boss has what it takes to thrive in his new office.<\/p>\n

Tompolo is the former commander of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta (MEND).<\/p>\n
In September 2022, said he was working to stop oil bunkering in the Niger Delta area.<\/p>\n
