Tammy Danagogo has been appointed as the State Government’s Secretary by Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara.<\/p>\n

The most recent administration, headed by the former governor Nyesom Wike, had Danagogo as its SSG.<\/p>\n

Chidi Amadi was also chosen by Governor Fubara<\/a> to serve as his chief of staff.<\/p>\n

A statement containing their appointments was dated June 22, 2023, and it was signed by Boniface Onyedi, the governor’s senior special assistant for media.<\/p>\n

This comes almost one month after the Governor was sworn into office, a \u201cdelayed\u201d appointment which created wide criticism.<\/p>\n

Some residents of the state, however, took to their social media handles, especially Facebook to criticize Amadi\u2019s appointment as the Chief-of-Staff owing to his tribe in the state.<\/p>\n

A post read, \u201cOpobo is Ikwerre and Ikwerre is Opobo.\u201d This is because some people believe Wike, an indigene of Ikwerre is still in power while, Fubara, an indigene of Opobo is in office.<\/p>\n

Another post read, \u201cThey never allowed Sim to make an appointment of his own and na Opobo and Riverine turn. Is our God not merciful?\u201d<\/p>\n
